First in China! Zoomlion's Excavator Smart Factory Lands among Excellent Ones
Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced the first batch of excellence-level smart factory projects. Zoomlion’s excavator digital full-process management smart factory was successfully selected for its outstanding performance, fully demonstrating the company’s innovative leadership in the field of intelligent manufacturing.

The Excellence-level smart factory is a smart factory with domestic leading level recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the National Data Bureau and other departments. The selected enterprises are at the domestic leading level in strengthening the continuous optimization capabilities of digital networking, systematically deploying smart manufacturing equipment, industrial software and systems for typical scenarios of smart manufacturing, realizing the integration and connection of design, production and operation data, intelligent management and control of manufacturing equipment and online optimization of production processes, carrying out comprehensive optimization of the entire product life cycle and all links of the supply chain, and promoting multi-scenario system-level intelligent applications, forming a leading and driving role.
Zoomlion's excavator digital full-process management smart factory covers six full-process production processes: cutting, welding, machining, painting, assembly, and debugging. It is the world's only production base that realizes full-process excavator intelligent manufacturing, and can achieve an excavator off the line every 6 minutes on average. The smart factory has planned and built a total of 60 highly flexible intelligent production lines, using more than 360 automatic logistics AGVs and more than 240 industrial robots, and integrating 11 information systems. It deeply integrates artificial intelligence, industrial Internet, intelligent manufacturing technology and intelligent equipment, solves the industry problem of full-process flexible intelligent manufacturing of excavators, and achieves a fundamental breakthrough in the excavator production model. It is the most intelligent, flexible, and assembly-accurate smart factory and unmanned dark production line in the industry, and its overall process level is internationally leading.

Not only has it innovatively developed a series of intelligent control algorithms and digital systems to achieve flexibility, efficiency and collaboration, it has also broken through 77 key technologies such as complex groove processing, black light technology, intelligent warehousing, and air logistics, and has realized the installation on the intelligent production line, and has applied for more than 200 production line patents.
