Dec 2024: Domestic Excavator Sales Hit 9,312 Units, Up 22.1% YoY

According to statistics from the China Construction Machinery Industry Association on major excavator manufacturers, 19,369 excavators of various types were sold in December 2024, a year-on-year increase of 16%. Among them, domestic sales were 9,312 units, a year-on-year increase of 22.1%; exports were 10,057 units, a year-on-year increase of 10.8%.

In 2024, a total of 201,131 excavators were sold, a year-on-year increase of 3.13%; of which 100,543 were sold domestically, a year-on-year increase of 11.7%; and 100,588 were exported, a year-on-year decrease of 4.24%.

In December 2024, nine electric excavators will be sold (eight below 6 tons and one between 18.5 and 28.5 tons).
