China's construction machinery market in December
At the beginning of December, Xin Guobin, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Equipment Manufacturing Development Conference on December 3 that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will focus on promoting the stable growth of the equipment manufacturing industry, planning a new round of stable growth policies for the equipment manufacturing industry, and promoting the introduction of incremental measures. At present, the industrial scale of the equipment manufacturing industry continues to expand. According to the data of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in the first 10 months of this year, the added value of the equipment manufacturing industry accounted for 34% of the industrial output above designated size, and remained above 30% for 20 consecutive months. The added value increased by 7.4% year-on-year, and the contribution rate to industrial growth reached 42.7%.
In mid-December, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the State Administration for Market Regulation and other four departments jointly issued the "Guide to Low-Noise Construction Equipment (2024 Edition)". The construction machinery manufacturers on the list include Sany, XCMG, Zoomlion, Liugong, Shandong Lingong, Shantui, Sanhe Intelligent, Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo Construction Equipment and other brands. The products cover seven categories including rollers, bulldozers, loaders, two-end busy, graders, excavators, concrete mixers, etc., with a total of 54 diesel-powered equipment and 7 electric equipment.

According to the latest survey by Huanyang Market Consulting, the global output value of new energy aerial work platforms is expected to reach US$122 million in 2030, with a compound annual growth rate of 4.2% during 2024-2030.
In December 2024, the China Construction Machinery Market Index (CMI) was 108.16, up 5.46% year-on-year and 2.63% month-on-month, indicating that after December, most domestic markets continued the recovery trend in November and continued to show varying degrees of year-on-year improvement.
